Lyn has always loved stories and her interest in genealogy first began from the family stories grandma and grandpa told. While living in Arizona she was able to conduct hands on research in courthouses and archives where she discovered that Grandpa was not embellishing his tales of the Wild West. Moving to Utah has afforded Lyn more opportunities to research professionally for clients.
Lyn earned a degree from Brigham Young University in Family History Genealogy and her expertise is in United States and Canada. She enjoys Southern States and New England research with a special interest in African American and Native American histories.
Genealogy is a professional field that affords many opportunities for volunteer work. Lyn enjoys teaching family groups how to organize, document, and share their known family information. One of her favorite volunteer activities is working with the BSA as a Genealogy Merit Badge counselor and catching the enthusiasm of the youthful beginning genealogist.
