
Milan Pohontsch is an accredited genealogist. His journey started as a hobby more than 30 years ago. As a native of Germany, he has excellent language and communication skills for conducting research in that part of Europe.
Milan is an expert in reading old German handwriting styles and teaches it to all who wish to learn it. He has written genealogical articles in three languages, teaches regularly at genealogical conferences, and co-authored a town lineage book for the area of Lusatia, Germany. While his specialty is German research, he is also an expert in some East European countries. Milan makes regular research trips to Germany and some East European archives. He is also fluent in some East European languages (and has at least a basic understanding of a few additional languages) and is able to translate documents from several languages as well as Latin.
