Lolita Nikolava

Lolita Nikolava was born in Bulgaria where she received her MA and PhD degrees in History. By training, she is a Cultural Anthropoligist and since 2001 her professional interests have included Eastern and Central European genealogy.
Lolita has conducted in-depth research at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah and on-site research in archives in Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Turkey, and other European countries. She has received foreign language training in Croatian, English, German, Polish, and Russian. Her expertise comprises but is not limited to ancestral searches in European church and civil documents, emigration records, secondary sources, as well as American census and immigration records.
Lolita is an active member of the Federation of East European Family History Societies and has made several contributions to this arising field of genealogy.
