A Utah native, Hyrum grew up fascinated by genealogy and the thrill of unearthing stories about the past. He has a bachelor’s degree in history from Brigham Young University, where he had the chance to work for the BYU Center for Family History and Genealogy. He specializes in English and Scottish research and has had the chance to conduct research in over a dozen archives across the United Kingdom. He has published research in scholarly journals, including Rural History and Journal of Mormon History. When he isn’t busy researching, he loves reading, museums, music, and spending time with his family.
