Milan Tyler is a full-time professional genealogist. As a native of Germany, he has excellent language and communication skills for conducting research in that part of Europe. While a young man, he discovered and fell in love with what is now his vocation — genealogy. By the age of 19, he became head of a genealogical research center in Germany. He also served as an expert for the International Reference Counter in the Family History Library in Salt Lake City and has cataloged microfilms in the LDS Church Office Building.
Milan teaches old German handwriting to all who wish to learn it. He has co-authored a town lineage book for the area of Lusatia, Germany. While his specialty is German research, he is also an expert in most Eastern European countries. Milan makes regular research trips to German and Eastern European archives.
